About CFR
The members of Chichester Fire Rescue are comprised of your neighbors, friends, and relatives. They’re people just like you – with families, jobs and active lifestyles who find time to give back to their community.
Established in 1936, Chichester Fire Rescue is a combination Fire & EMS department that provides emergency services for the residents and businesses within Chichester, NH. Chichester Fire Rescue also supports surrounding communities when called upon for mutual aid. Currently, CFR runs approximately 500 calls per year.
The town of Chichester is 21.3 square miles with approximately 2,800 residents. It is covered 24/7, 365 days a year, by the members of CFR. The town has one fire station located at 22 Main St, Chichester, NH 03258. The fire station is manned from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm throughout the week and the remaining hours (6:00 pm to 6:00 am) utilizes assigned coverage duties ensuring that resources are in town to cover all emergencies. Chichester Fire Rescue now staffs weekend nights from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am at the fire station.
CFR is committed to providing the residents and businesses of Chichester with the best services possible. We encourage townspeople to utilize the 9-1-1 system rather than calling the fire department directly during an emergency.
